Jennifer Benson, FoundHER
Jennifer is a licensed attorney and works as the Western Campaign Director for the National Young Farmers Coalition.
While attending law school at the University of Colorado, she worked for Harvard Law School's Food Law and Policy Clinic, the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, and the Farm Bill Law Enterprise. She served as Managing Editor of the Colorado Law Review where her research focused on racial and gender inequity in the agriculture industry. In addition, she served on the boards of the Women's Law Caucus and the Colorado Women's Bar Association. Before law school, Jennifer completed a Masters of Education at Stephens College and worked as a high school guidance counselor and dance coach.
Outside of helping women get elected, Jennifer enjoys taking dance classes, singing karaoke, drinking wine, and exploring Colorado with her bulldog.
JORDAN HENRY, FoundHER
Jordan is an associate at Messner Reeves, helping clients with both litigation and commercial transactions. Prior to joining Messner Reeves, Jordan was a law clerk for Crocs, Inc. and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable John L. Kane on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. She also enjoyed serving on the Women's Law Caucus executive board, responsible for the mentorship and community engagement programs.
Jordan is actively involved in the community. She is a member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and the William E. Doyle Inn of Court. Outside of the legal industry, she serves on the Board of Directors for Emerge Colorado, a nonprofit that trains women to run for office. In 2018, the Denvrite named Jordan one of Colorado’s political rising stars.
In addition to being passionate about women's rights, Jordan also loves ballet, yoga, hiking, and puppies. Jordan holds her B.A. from Emory University and J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.
Samantha Byrne, Communications DirectHER
Samantha is a second-year Masters student in Public Policy with the Center for New Directions in Politics & Public Policy at the University of Colorado - Denver. She also serves as the Assistant Town Administrator for a small, quickly growing community in northeastern Colorado.
Samantha specializes in Land Use Policy and Development Planning and has a passion for Public Land Protection and the Dark Night Sky Initiative.
In a former life, she had a career in B2B digital marketing and project management and is excited to flex her skills for such an important and exciting organization!
Samantha holds her B.A. from the University of Missouri - Columbia in Political Science, Communications and Sociology and expects to wrap up her Masters Thesis Spring 2018.
She enjoys spending her free time outside; running or hiking, singing (very loudly) in the car or just daydreaming over every Colorado sunset.
DANIELLE MARINER, MARKETING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR - INTERN
Danielle is a junior at the University of Colorado – Boulder, majoring in Sociology and Leadership. She is a Cohort member in the CU INVST Community Studies Leadership Program. The INVST program develops leaders who engage in compassionate action as a lifetime commitment to a just and sustainable world.
Previously, Danielle worked as an outdoor educator. Working with an experiential education approach, she taught students to appreciate life-long learning and to use play as a catalyst for creativity, self-reliance and esteem.
Other than the excitement she gets from engaging with InvestHER’s passion project, dancing, camping, visual arts and photography are also some of her digs.
